The Whole Truth and Nothing But

"We love purely when we release other people to be who they are." -- Marianne Williamson
What will you choose to nurture in your life today?
Success is to be measured not so much by the position one has reached in life as by the obstacles which he had to overcome.

"In every battle there comes a time when both sides consider themselves beaten, then he who continues the attack wins." --Ulysses S. Grant
Being reasonable is not necessarily a good thing. You make sense, but often do not do what could be done to solve the problem.
As with everything, there are benefits and prices for both commitments. You simply need to decide which set of benefits you want and which set of prices you are willing to pay.

All energy is only borrowed. One day you have to give it back...
"Daring ideas are like chessmen moving forward. They may be beaten, but they may start winning the game." --Goethe

"While they were saying among themselves it couldn't be done, it was done." --Helen Keller
Simply experience putting yourself in the realm where there is no competition.
For the moment, don't even worry about whether you achieve it.
Decide, right now, what impossible thing you are going to let yourself think about this week and actually attempt.

A key principle for leaders-- whether in sales, parenting, management, or community action--is distinguishing commitment vs. compliance.

"Our greatest glory is not in never falling, but in rising every time we fall." --Confucius
Everyone gets knocked down, but champions bounce right back! Shake it off and get back in the fight! -- http://klemmer.com
thereby shaking off the dirt, and took a step forward . . . and eventually walked out of the hole.
Every time more dirt was thrown in the well, the donkey shook itself like a dog,
Someone above was shoveling dirt filling in the well.
There is a story of a donkey that fell into a deep well.
The real difference is in how quickly they bounce back.
The truth is, successful people have more failures and rejection than average people.
Everyone has failures, but the recovery quotient should not be that long.
Or someone who fails on a project and won't assume responsibility for another project for a year!
Or the person looking for a date who gets rejected and won't ask anyone else out for a date for a month!
Consider the salesperson who gets a single "no" and won't even try to sell for the rest of the day!
How long does it take you to bounce back from something? That is your recovery quotient.

Leaders are experts in giving and receiving feedback, while many people have difficulty in one or both. - http://klemmer.com

Establish limits of your trust. - http://klemmer.com/
Trust means allowing someone the space to fail and calculate how much you can afford to lose if they do fail.
Inspect what you expect. Trust does not mean you do not check on anther person's actions.
Do You Trust Others? Leaders have a great capacity to trust.

Pressure is a good thing. It reveals what is inside.
Our goodness is often covered up by our not-so-good beliefs, which is then painted over.
Leaders use pressure to reveal the best of the real you.

Problems are a good thing. Problems create value. They are the path to what you want.
The one who takes your hand but touches your heart is a true Friend.

Money may be the husk of many things, but not the kernel. It buys you food, but not appetite; medicine, but not health; acquaintances, but not friends; servants, but not loyalty; days of joy, but not peace or happiness.

Life has taught us that love does not consist in gazing at each other but in looking outward together in the same direction.
